Flicker of Inspiration Prompt #36: Déjà Vu

"Okay, campers, rise and shine, and don't forget your booties 'cause it's cold out there today."
"It's cold out there every day. What is this, Miami Beach?"
"Not hardly. And you know, you can expect hazardous travel later today with that, you know, that, uh, that blizzard thing."
"That blizzard - thing. That blizzard - thing. Oh, well, here's the report! The National Weather Service is calling for a 'big blizzard thing!'"
"Yes, they are. But you know, there's another reason why today is especially exciting."
"Especially cold!"
"Especially cold, okay, but the big question on everybody's lips -"
"On their chapped lips!"
"On their chapped lips, right: Do ya think Phil is gonna come out and see his shadow?"
"Punxsutawney Phil!"
"That's right, woodchuck-chuckers - it's..."
"GROUNDHOG DAY!"

Yes, today is that most beloved of all holidays, Groundhog Day! And in honor of what may be the only movie ever made in honor of this honorable day of honor, your theme this week is:  Déjà Vu!

Take something you've written before this week. It can be something you finished but feel like you can do better, or something you liked but want to take in a different direction. The only thing I ask is that you throw out all the original text, write from scratch. You can re-read it to refresh your memory but no referring back to it once you've started your new version!

For the linkup I'd like everyone to include a link to the original version in the new post, so if it's something you haven't had on your current blog you may need to re-post it in a separate post so your devoted fans can compare the two. No real word limit, so you've got completely free rein to rework your favorite piece from the past. Good luck and go nuts!
