Flicker of Inspiration Prompt #47: Beautiful to Me

Euler's Identity is a mathematical... item. It is pictured at left. To most human beings who are not in the middle of college math courses, it is just math, but the kind that also uses letters as well as numbers. To a pretty small group of people, though... it is a thing of beauty. In the world of nerdy tattoos, it occupies a place comparable to "MOM" hearts.

Our individual insights and perspectives determine how we see the world and what we consider to be beautiful. I think it's fair to say that everything is beautiful to someone. A manhole cover can be a thing of beauty to the man who designed it, if to no one else. In the movie "American Beauty," one character spends twenty minutes entranced by the beauty he sees in a plastic bag caught by the wind. Personally, I like polka music.
