Hope everyone's having a lovely weekend so far! First, I must apologize. I've been MIA this weekend, as we've been out of town visiting family, so I haven't had a chance to read everyone's posts in the Dare to Share linkup. But I promise I will, and I look forward to it! If you haven't linked up yet, you still have time. The link up will be open through today at midnight. This week's Dare to Share theme is friendship.
In other news, our Flicker of Inspiration link up is ready to go below. Remember last week's prompt was for you to write a post about a trip or journey that you or your character has taken. If you participated in the prompt, simply link up below, and if you link up to try to visit and thoughtfully comment on at least three other posts. Also, please help us to spread the word about our community. Grab a button and share the news!
Flicker of Inspiration Prompt #9: House
As we all know, setting is a key component to many great tales. In fact, sometimes the setting becomes a character itself, as much a part of the fabric of a story as the living, breathing heroes and villains. For this week's prompt, we'd like you to write about a specific kind of setting, a setting that can be ominous or comforting, a setting that can easily take on a life of its own. Your fiction, poetry, or memory this week should involve a house. Be sure this house plays a pivotal role in your piece. Stretch your writing muscles, personify the house, make it a key character in your tale. Come back next Sunday and link up your story about a house.
